Hi All,
I had fun shopping yesterday. Got all kinds of neat gadgets. I finally picked
up the Ergo electric knife, by Black and Decker.

My husband, a few months ago, brought home a Black and Decker electric knife.
Actually, it was an empty box - too funny. He had commented on how light it was.
Silly man forgot to check the box to see that everything was in order. I of
course thanked him for the instruction booklet and the electrical cord. Anyway,
it was mailed to us. Unfortunately, it didn't do what I needed - cut hard
veggies - like carrots.

In a flyer from a hardware store, I saw their Ergo knife with utility blade. I
figured, based on the look of the utility blade, it would cut carrots. So off I
went to pick it up. I put the blades in last night and grabbed a nice thick
carrot from the fridge. It was amazing. Hardly any pressure at all to cut and
the knife has a really comfortable, non-slip grip. To check it out, as a
possible prezzie for yourself, visit

When I did a search for Ergo knives, the first URL in the list of options was
about Assistive Technology. I can only assume that this knife was specially
designed for persons with arthritis or other grip/dexterity problems. It's going
to get lots of use in my kitchen.

Cheers!

Carla
