That's easy for those of us with cars to say, I did that when we had the
flood in 1997 but I have a van with a lift. However I remember my brother
saying why couldn't they have had buses go down in ' 05 to help people get
out, that's what we did in 1997 and we didn't even have 1 death, but we only
had about 5,000 at max without vehicles.

i just read an article that new orleans was "considering" evactuation  ahead
of Gustav. 

after Katrina they are only considering? if it got close, i'd be out of
there.
