It seems to me the key to happiness in this world is acceptance of
yourself as you are. If you can't do that, you're always going to be
doomed to frustration and unhappiness. Life is a precious gift, even
for those of us who have disabilities. I think your friends did you a
great disservice by offering you false hope, but honestly, KJP, how long
can you mope about having CP and expect to be happy?

That's not to say you should just sit around and not do anything; it's
just saying that you can't use CP as an excuse not do be happy and
expect other people to sympathize.

I worked until 10:00 last night on reports for the Sox auditors (and no,
Beth they don't count socks - that's really funny because that's one of
our products - socks!). My boss doesn't cut me any slack because of my
CP because she knows I will do the work as best as I can and I will pour
more than 100% into my work if I need to. But if I used CP to moan
about my depression, etc,. and to escape responsibility, I'd be out of a
job fast. The real world doesn't work that way.

I realize I sound harsh and I apologize for that - but I'm telling it as
I see it.
