my son who is attending college likes to buy his books used when he can, obviously to save money.

he has had to sign up for a history class because he neglected to take it at the community college before transferring to the university. well he had to buy his book new. why? after being revised just 3 years ago it was revised again. i do not now how many times before it has been revised but eventually it will be dropped totally and a new book altogether will be brought in.

now let us fast forward to the year 1932. my grandsons history book after the 2008 book was revised, revised and revised then replaced, the replacement revised.... replaced and that replacement revised. many of the 2008 "facts have been change, straightened out and many plan out stuck out by the reviser's pen. why? time and events proved the "facts" were not complete and straight or were not facts at all; they were conjectures put forth by arrogant, haughty "intellectuals" that thought they knew better annd more than anyone else and indeed convienced some in their time that they new more. they thought they were the Arbiters of history. time and events just proved otherwise. some of these have passed in the insuing years, but happily for their families, time and events wore down the long, sharp points on their heads until they could actually be put into coffins made for normal people. they had euglegies saying nice things about them while on the other
side of town someone belatedly reads the obits and sadly shakes his head and mutters, "what a shame, he reproduced."
in another city a writer of history textbooks takes a break and muses "whatever made them think that?" he smiles and starts writing a section on President Joe Jones whose administration is about to draw to a close.
in still another city someone that has read his draft sends a communication siting this writing as proof that history is already judging President Joe Jones; after all it "IS' going into a text book written by someone who knows these things better than anyone else.
but, this book will be revised in 2034, '36, '38.............

will history treat President Bush kindly or will history treat President Bush harshly? i am not one who thinks i know.
