there are non-christians on this list i know, but regardless of everyones

Subject: Of Disability and Eternity

Greetings,

I will be away from my email for about a weerk, beginning tomorrrow, should
there be anyone writing me directly then.
i just wanted to take a moment to emphasize that I know some believe all
disabled people will heasd heavenward, I do nort subscribe to that thesis.
As my freind Dr. Marlene Huff, who also uses a wheerlchair says " We are
all of us human before we are hasndicaapped. Implicit in that is a capacity
for good juxtaposed with a likew capacxity for evil. Remember all those deaf
workers ffrom Mexico found in servitude in the LA garmentdistrictn last
year? The ringleaderwho supplied the workers was himself deaf! he wascthe
only one to tyurn a profit amongst the human chattel. And thatr ius but one
example, one variation of mans continuing inhumanity to man contoinuing
whenone is obliged to cope with an outward physical impairrment.
all of you reading this coulkd name others.
What wearies me is that too many folks in church see inability before they
see ability andb grace a person to be done for rather than a person to
worship with. Are attitudes among parishioners any betteer otr any different
on the other side of the Atlantic!
To sum up, I belireve with the Anglican expatriate John Wesley that all men
can be saved, but not all men will be saved!

Blessings
