Being JAM (Just A Mom) I don't know if my opinion counts for much but here goes... I think these types of discussions happen MUCH too rarely on this list. This IS a list for adults with CP. Adults have sex. Why shouldn't sexuality issues be discussed. If they are taboo, are we as a group not buying into the stereotype that folks with disabilities are somehow sexless?

I joined this list to get a broader understanding of the issues facing my son as he grows up with CP. His sexual development is as much a part of him as his physical, emotional and spiritual development. I want to be able to answer his questions as they come up - about sexuality as much as anything else. Of course it will be many years before THIS topic is appropriate (he's not quite 5), but that day will come <sigh>. :-)

So I vote to keep these discussions going. I appreciate the candor of those who have posted to date and was not offended. Indicating "mature theme" in the subject heading would be considerate to those who might be offended. As to children accessing the archives... there are much more dangerous places to surf to than here. Parents need to do their job - either control your child's access or better yet, talk to your children and educate them about what they access and/or come across if it is controversial and/or too explicit. My one suggestion is that people refrain from using vulgar terms - we can share information using everyday language that is not offensive or in poor taste.

Just my thoughts.
