Yep! If you dig into these deaths (miniscule %, BTW) you'll find that
the physicians were grossly unqualified and there's much more background
than the media outlets are passing along. Still, Botox and Myobloc are
nothing to be trifled with--you better make darn sure your
neuro/physiatrist knows what they're doing. I can't imagine using the
stuff to get rid of a few facial wrinkles!

I get 300 units in my left medial hamstring every three months. The
procedure is done through guided EMG with the Ohio State University
Chair of Physical Medicine directly supervising the attending resident.
Even then, they nailed my sciatic nerve six months ago, so even the best
can get it wrong.

I've been getting the Botox regimen for about a year and a half now.
I'm sure I have one of the smoothest (left) butt cheeks for a guy my
age. LOL!

Kyle

I've had one round of botox in my neck, and it was helpful with pain and
head control. My neurologist has been very cautious, which is
warranted. I
wonder if these "adverse events" came about in instances where doctors
weren't properly familiar with the drug or the procedure?
