Are hiking boots too casual for you? I've also worn Clarks Wallabees chukka boots - very nice and stylish, but again maybe too casual.

Sorry, I'm not up on men's shoes and I don't wear high-tops myself, so I can't be of more help. Kyle? Bobby?

I have all of my life worn "high top" (6") shoes.
Althiough sometimes described as "work shoes", they
were finished leather, polished, etc. They were
advertised for garage attendants and police officers.

I bought them through Hanover Shoes (in the 60s &
70s) & from Sears mail-order in the 1980s & early 90s.
For several years I have looked in vain.

I just finished Google searches for Hanover Shoe
Store, & the only sites I find give discontinued phone
numbers.

The closest I can come is the 8" police "combat boot"
{which looks & feels like a boot!)

Any suggestions?
BOB
