My son's pre-school is held in the basement of a church. He is the only
disabled child in the class because there is only funding available for 1 P.A.
per day. For evacuation purposes  there must be a 1:1 person for each
child who cannot move independently up the stairs. My understanding is
that if the school was on the ground floor the aide could be responsible for
2 disabled children.

I'm not sure what the regulations will be once he's in the regular school
system. Definitely something I will keep in mind to find out!
