the unfinished cathedral St. John with the
Guastivino Dome half built...

I failed to mention that the acoustolith I'm dealing with is flat, applied
to the walls.  I'll be putting up scaffold in a week or so and will likely
have to pull of a few pieces.  Then I'll know more.  Or, if true to form,
the more I discover, the less I'll know.
