As a "little old lady," I can tell you that she was truly distressed about
the condition of her stoop, as I would be too if I saw signs of change.  If
you live in a house for MANY years one day you look at something and it
doesn't look the same as it did when it was new, so there must be something
WRONG with it.  I hope the fellow you refered her to was able to "fix" her
problem.  Ruth
