THE INTERNATIONAL NATURAL CEMENT SYMPOSIUM
is currently scheduled for March 30 - April 1, 2006
Washington, DC

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
We are pleased to announce that the International Natural Cement Symposium
will be held from March 30 - April 1, 2006 in the Washington, DC area.
Sessions are to focus on technology, research, practices and case studies
relating to natural cement history, science, and technology. Papers and
presentations are invited on the many aspects of Natural Cement and
Preservation, including:  Engineering, Restoration Architecture, Material
Conservation, Research, Chemistry, Petrography, Geology, Performance Testing
and Standardization, History and Methods of Production and Use. The Nation’s
Capitol has a rich history of natural cement use in buildings, bridges,
waterworks and monuments and a tour component is planned. Papers which can be
tied to a tour are encouraged and Student research posters/exhibits are also
welcome.

Restoration tradespeople are also encouraged to participate with
demonstrations and brief project spotlight presentations, highlighting natural
cement restoration projects which they have performed.

Abstract submissions should include the following:
The title of the presentation;
The names of all contributors;
Mailing address, telephone, fax number and e-mail of the contact person;
The name of the presenting author.

Abstracts should be between 300 and 500 words and will be published as part of
the conference program.

The deadline for abstracts is Friday, October 28, 2005.
