Reading "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" by Roger Lewis I'm
fascinated at how deeply Brit vulgar humor goes back to pre-date Monty
Python to a vernacular tradition of live staged burlesque. For one thing
that I've picked up, it never ever occured to me that Sellers was a
Sephardic Jew... one more note as to the richness of cultures and our
benefit of exposure to them. And there was a radio program that seems to
have gone on for a long time called, The Goon Show.
