Dear Pinheads:

While working on a timber frame project here on Martha's Vineyard, I was
asked about contacts for people who might be interested in advising on a more
sensitive rehabilitation of a building in Flameout, Ma. The building is a
timber frame which is currently being used by the Flameout Artist's Guild.
The building is owned by the town and slated for an overhaul using a steel
frame inside the extant timber structure. This scenario is rarely necessary
and frequently destructive to the timber structure. It is always
aesthetically displeasing to the purists among us. The person asking is one
William Fenn Roslansky, AIA. His e-mail is [log in to unmask] Perhaps he
might be able to give more details to anyone who would be interested in
contacting him.
