As a kid, I avoided the fish, chips and vinegar, but my idea of heaven was
during our annual migration to Ontario cottage country when we'd stop at the
Boys' Truck Diner on Highway 69. It had to be a burger & chocolate shake and
watch all those guys with the bellies smoking cigarettes and swapping bs.
Since then they widened the highway and deleted the non-chain restaurants.
At least the guys with the bellies are still there, for the moment.

                Halen,

As a kid whenever we went near Lake Ontario I would order
fish n' chips. It
always seemed sort of magic to me that it was the only place
I knew of that
                offered vinegar instead of ketchup.
