Schmear = cream cheese and it's called The Bronx because the area was owned
by the Bronck family - hoity toity people, so if you got invited up to The
Bronck's, you were doing very well.  Bagels are just boiled bread - what's
the matter with that?  Especially with schmear, some lox (not The Lox) and a
little red onion.  YUM!  Now, if you're one of those people who likes
schmaltz (rendered chicken fat), then I agree - yucky.
