Eric,

This won't help but I did meet a stone mason from Bermuda when we were part of the Masters of the Building Arts program at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in DC.

He was demonstrating traditional stone house construction using the soft Bermuda limestone they called "Cheese". It was quarried using long bladed, long handle chisels that were used to cut the blocks out by hand. He had a cheese chisel with him which I must have looked at with longing. The day the festival ended he showed up at the workshop we had set up and gave it to me.

I wish I could remember his name. Always wanted to go to Bermuda to visit him. Nice guy.
