Our "peeper swamp" is still covered with a thick blanket of snow so they
sleep on for a bit.  The menfolk gathered a lot of sap today and delivered
to the neighbor boy who is buying it since we ran out of wood last Thurs.
night.  It isn't very sweet though, only 1.7% sugar.  It was in the low
sixtys here today with lots of "patchy fog."  Where the fog was you
couldn't see your  hand in front of your face.  That's good, fog eats snow,
we could almost see the snow go.  It's time!!  Our sap is still clear but
just beginning to turn, a few more days, MAYBE.  Ruth
