This makes me wonder whether "we" Noo Yawkuhs are fast drinkers as well as
fast talkers and fast jaywalkers, and whether those of you who live father

even the Bridge and Tunnel Crowd are slow drinkers as well as slow talkers.

Then again, I should think that Pyrate isn't one to let the spirits
evaporate from his glass, but I don't remember that he's a slow talker,
either.  Under the circumstances, for purposes of the current discussion,
we should probably consider him an honorary Noo Yawkuh, and not a typical
yokel.
