Excellent! Ruth, I worked on a crew dismantling the old West Wardsboro Inn
in 1971. (Rip) Swann Construction out of South Londonderry was my employer -
$1.35/hour. It was located on the old Boston to Albany post route (The road
that goes north-west out of West Wardsboro to Stratton to Arlington). Where
will the kiln be located? What Road do you live on, and is there a house
number?
Best,
Leland

Subject: [BP] new lime-kiln 1889

This just in for those of you who are interested in LIME. Ruth

The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, November 29, 1889

C. C. FITTS & Co. have several men and teams at work preparing to build a
new lime-kiln of 700 barrels capacity, at West Wardsboro. This new
enterprise will gibe employment to quite a number of hands.
