Would this be cast zinc? I've seen a few late 19th century cast zinc
markers scattered across NC. Generally an even whittish grey in
coloration, sharp detailing and fairly ornamentmental. The ones I've
seen are in a remarkably good state of preservation although now I'm
curious as to what type of bolts and screws were used to assemble them.
Galvanic action anyone.
