From what I understand, crickets aren't the only thing that praying mantises
eat.  Mrs. Mantis consumes her gentlemantis friend after cohabitation, and we
certainly don't want to condone, much less encourage, that sort of behavior.
On the other hand, I guess it gives them something to look forward to.
