Lots of bad news coming from the South.  I hear Beauvoir (Jefferson
Davis's home) has been destroyed.  No word yet about Longwood (Natchez,
MS), which may be gone before I ever got to see it.

And New Orleans is 80% under water.  I see "worst-case scenario" being
mentioned in news reports.

Any more definitive news from preservationeers?
