PS, Mr. West,

Just in case you hoity-toity Ozzies think we colonials are a bunch of boobs
who don't know what pasties are, we had an article in the NY Times only last
week (or maybe it was 40 years ago with the not-well-hanged, but maybe
well-hung Tollund Man) by some idiot who went to Merrie Olde England
(Cornwall, as I remember, or maybe Cornhole) in search of the perfect pastie.
Surprisingly he found even the best of them sadly lacking in flavor,
nutritious ingredients, and any other desirable characteristic. Needless to
say, the Brits thought his judgment of this particular variety of boiled
cardboard to be excessively harsh and ill-informed, and advised him
accordingly--on TV. Fortunately, upon his return to New York (font of all
good things), he found an edible pastie. What good news for us all.

But now we know that pasties aren't just what we thought they were.

Here to edify as always,

Ralph
