Our office just completed construction documents for the relocation and
retsoration of the Johannes Luyster House (ca.1700) in Monmouth County, NJ.
Great New World Dutch frame with bell-cast eaves, retaining original riven and
shaved exterior cladding. Corn cob/straw/clay nogging in walls. Hewn oak and
chestnut frame. The house was constructed in three phases, original block
arguably 1680+-, a gable end addition ca. 1700-10, and an 1862 addition. The
building will be divided into two chunks and moved one mile to new foundation
which replicates original field stone. I'll keep you posted.
