I think this must be an appeal for CARE packages. Please take care dealing
with the lonely PA natives -- send them lots of preservation stuff. This is
also a testimony to the need for publications and networking. If in PA there
is a restriction on pictures of provacative buildings and reading of mail for
coded messages let me know. Myself, I'm ok to survive if there is a bookstore
and a library. How are the reading amenities in Harrisburg? I sense that I've
been stuck in NYC too long and I need help me keep my head straight.

For those in the dark, CRM is Conservation Resource Management, a NPS
publication. I recently wrote an article for them with a bunch of ranting
about the lack of good training programs for craftspeople... a contractor's
viewpoint. It may be fortunate that I had never read a full issue of the
publication prior to writing the article and therefore tended to write what I
thought rather than what I thought would fit. I still have 40 issues sitting
here waiting to be browsed.
