A couple of years ago Dr. Tom asked if I had the same
recollection & we agreed-

My first high school lacrosse game was during the Kent State
riots 1/2 mile down the road @ CW Post
It was a beautiful day-
The sky was blue
The clouds were white
The tear gas, as it wafted onto the field, was a yellow that
went well with the grass.
Of course we were the "Fighting Quakers" & I'd been thrown
out of the Boy Scouts for wearing a black armband @ the
Memorial Day Parade.

This goes down as one of my all time surreal moments-
In a life time of cultured weirdness.
