"Howling Mary" was down for the count......It took an hour an a half of
notable Blues renditions such as.....the dirty ditty rag....and Pappa give me
a new Bop -Bop , "the Dee-Dee has fallen and an extra long piece of "Tell me
it ani't so..accompanied by my hunting dogs Thelma and Louise.
Mary knows her audience and milks it for all its worth , she has an all
feminine side group by professional dog howlers .
You see early in life Thelma and Lousie struck -up chords in Roca- pela with
such noted professional s as the "wandering coyotes "..who hit the Borscht
belt of several ponds nearby and you can catch their late show almost every
night.
These are pitifull ,mornfull howls in sequential baying by both dogs usually
off my back porch.
Mary to her credit has the ability to draw this talent in and utilize all its
worth.
Her first piece "Dirty dity rag" went un noticed utill both Thelma and Lousie
joined in midway through the piece with their mornfull howling.
Mary not to be un-done cranked it up a notch; and pretty soon the entire
audience was on their feet and moving with the call. The entire day went like
that; The 'Dee-Dee"..... the fresh "bop-Bop ....combined the talents of Mary
and her beasts.in a unique blend of "desperation harmony" causing much hand
wringing and bewilderment from the audience.
....In 44 B.C quite another audience was at work on the Ides of March;only
this time the hand wringing was over.Cassius and Brutus were also being
ignored as well as much of the Republiucan old guard in the senate. After the
fall of Gaul, Cesar increased Senate membership to 900 with loyal (populairs)
and (amicitia)...or... friends Romans and countymen loyal to him in the
entire Empire. The old gaurd felt neutered..and in "the name of the people"
these disapointed office seekers stabbed Ceaser 21 times on the steps of the
senate...the coup was short lived..in a years time .a series of civil wars
broke out over 10 years spelling the end of the Republic in 31 b.c (with
Octavian over Antony at Actium).
'But Brutus is an honorable man;
so they are all, all honerable men."

"Friends,Romansd Countrymen,lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar;not to praise him
The evil that men do lives after them,
The good is often interned with their bones.....Wm.Shakespere Julius Caesar
act 3.
I'm not sure where Im going with all this.... but Mary has taught me in this
political season when to hold them ....and when to fold them...and the
squeaky wheel gets the greese...et tu.....Best Michael
