When we lived in Brooklyn, my son's room had a door, and the bathroom had a
door.  A friend informed us that we really had a closet with a shower
curtain in it.  It was the ONLY privacy any of us had!

In this part of Brooklyn, there is no room for readng material in the
bathroom, barely enough for the spare roll of toilet paper.
