List-

I am looking for information on cleaning aluminum. The surface in question
is approximately 25 years old and looks as if it was originally polished. I
have removed some areas of whitish oxidation with gentle scrubbing and a mild
detergent, however, the surface below seems to be pitted. Although what
appears to be pitting may also just be residual oxidation that I have not
been able to remove. I have not been very aggressive in cleaning thus far.
Also there are areas where the surface has become discolored to sort of a
bronze tint. Has anyone has any experience, luck, success with returning an
aluminum surface be returned to its original appearance, and if so, how?

Thanks,
Mark
