primer and finish it with the best acrylic you can put your hands on. <

All of the testing we have done over the past 17 years confirms this
comment. High quality pure acrylic latex paints outperform oil based paints
significantly. They don't UV-degrade, don't chalk, breathe, and retain
flexibility. Bravo for your candor. Congratulations on outing yourself.
