One interesting trick my Grandfather did have was languages-
Evidently he could talk Spanish & Portuguese, Italian - his wife was
from Italy, Cantonese, French & amazingly some
Erdu/Hindi and Persian/Farsi.

Also whiskey, coal mining & dynamite...
