Actually, SS, a couple of years ago I heard that the NPS was working on
guidelines for "appropriate" vinyl siding designs and methods of installation
for historic buildings. I think they were working up a new Preservation Brief
on it. However (maybe because of all the conservation issues?), they haven't
issued one yet -- maybe it thought better of the idea. Does anyone out there
know the current skinny on this?
