" no Dryvit buildings nearby for you to attack "

What a great idea for 4th July. Except the headlines would be more suited to 1st April. (Are you reading Mr Gray?)

"BP LISTSERV SUBSCRIBERS ATTACK DRYVIT BUILDINGS"

In a protest reminiscent of <<insert your favourite demonstration memory>>, a group of preservationeers declared war on buildings clad with EIFS. Wielding columns weathered on one side only, buckets of Keim mineral paints, recycled bluestone and granite sidewalks, and backed by a convoy of Thomann-Hanry "Facade Gommage" trucks, this group today initiated a series of missile attacks on buildings with polystyrene cornices and other false decorations.

Group spokesperson, ][<en 'Shaman' Follett, said that they were tired of indulging in mint juleps at group pignics, and had decided to indulge in a little social redemption instead.

Incensed by recent newspaper reports on EIFS clad buildings which did not acknowledge their considerable contribution to the awareness of this problem, the 'Pinheads, as they seem to be called, have decided to take the matter into their own hands.

Surprisingly, this seemed remarkably simple. Lumps of building facades were floating down into the streets as the BP preservationeers pelted the offending buildings with rocks.

Another group spokesperson, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that there was no truth in the rumour that the campaign was funded by the Chinese government.

... and so on ...

Happy 4th July to y'all

david
