Bravo, Steve!
I once nearly quit a job because my Technical Group Leader insisted that
his new process was working beautifully, though all the data indicated it
was a bust. I decided to go over his head to the VP of R & D and got a
transfer to no-man's land for my troubles. A year later the Group Leader
was fired and I was promoted. Two years after that I quit and started my
own company, never having quite gotten rid of the nasty taste of corporate
politics.
