1.  Me too, me too!  Crown City has crystal knobs that match my originals, a hex-sided beveled design.  Regrettably, they are $145 per single unit...not a possibility on my civil servant's compensation.  It's really hard being a professional preservationist trying to preserve a house.  I'd rather be Richard Jenrette trying to preserve a house.  That would be better.

But then I'd be bald, so there are trade-offs.

2.  Smoke? Grease?  You're not supposed to be doing open pit BBQ in the kitchen.  Get yourself a decent ventilation hood system, remote motor so it doesn't roar in your ear, and it won't matter.  As far as dust, dust is everywhere, ceiling won't matter.
