The only reference I know with regard to whale scat is being "lower than whale shit" which I interpret to mean it sinks to the bottom of the ocean.

Does this mean Ralph is looking forward to a burial at sea?

Yes, I've seen it all, from cockaroach shit (in my house in Jersey City) to
elephant shit (from the elephants from Jumbo).  I have whale shit to look
forward to, however.
