I have this request from Niki in Charleston:

Hello, John-
Your website is a wealth of knowledge! I am an architect in Charleston, WV
and have been presented a dilemma by a friend who is also an architect
restoring our state's Governor's Mansion. The home dates back to around 1900
(forgive me for this ignorance). This is the dilemma: The main marble stair
must be replaced and we need a detail that will show how to wrap marble
around a steel structure. Neither of us have had the opportunity to work in
this manner, so some help is needed. Can you direct me where to look for
something of this nature? The detail would obviously be reviewed and
revamped, per this job, by registered professionals. Thanks for your
guidance!

Sincerely,
Nicole D. Riley
