A picture worth many words.

Yes, often, but not always. A paint program. You should have a rudimentary
paint program w/ your computer if you are running MS windows. You can
download others, shareware, off the I-way, or purchase one at your local shop
in the graphics section. I use Paint Shop Pro and will swear by it. Sometimes
you have to use a mime program to translate the binary mish-mosh into a
graphic, but often your browser will handle the process w/out need of human
intervention.

When you go to view a website the graphics are usually either *.jgp or *.gif
format graphics and your browser displays them. Your browser, if it handles
graphics, can display your jpegs as well and you may not even need a paint
program.

You can get pictures of old buildings this way, as well as new.
