Tesla was noted for being extremely fastidious in cleanliness. I recall
that he prefered to dine at a table alone. Possibly it was not only
professional rivalry between Edison and Tesla, but one of hygene as
well.

I once had a friend, Rufus, who would not take baths because he did not
want to be responsible for killing any bacteria. He staid in our
apartment for almost a week before my wife and I insisted he either
wash, or leave. Have not seen him since.
