But all the houses seem to have little rooftop platforms -- I guess to sit on
in the evening (with flowers n' stuff). I saw a picture of Venice in an
earlier century and they seemed to have them then, too. I wondered as I
drifted past if there were design guidelines for them -- they seemed too
varied -- but everything ELSE about Venice is carefully regulated, I suspect.
