Reminds me of my 8th grade science teacher, who worked in a blood bank on the
side, and reported that he took home the out-of-date blood to pour on his
rose bushes.  Claimed they bloomed very nicely.  This was also the man who
told us that a penis is like a thumb.  Somehow, my science education was
limited to physics after that.
