Sounds like snake oil... and the selling point is materials science. 
"Gosh, Mr. Wizard."

On a recent project that we shall not mention two bricks and two half 
bricks were sent out for a lab analysis and the report more-or-less came 
back, "This is brick, and this is mortar." The conclusion of the 
architect is that the report confirms the integrity of the masonry wall. 
My only hope is that we do not end up calling it the Wall from Hell.

Some days I wish that I was more dumber than I already am.
