Pyrate tales

from previous.story .(.Paco has lost the card game over the tomb)

Paco bites his lip then shrugs ; He stands and   reverently crosses himself  ;
 lights a cigar then lowers himself into the crypt



He then  works the tomb by gingerly picking  the fallen stone  debris out
from the internment by handing it out yet being carefull not to disturb  the
bones except the  skull and jaw  which he deftly picks up  using  a long stilletto
 knife he carrys . .

He mixes words and banter with the mud man  Ben ( aka Dog) who chops and
beats a  work board  of  fat lime and sand into a  mortar of "coarse stuff "as it
is called in the trade.

They banter on about  a "sporting "wo-man ' (professional prostitute)  who
accompanied Dog and Tiny  home to the motel and somehow walked off with a extra
$20 dollar bill from their motel table .

Paco wonders aloud how they could allow that to happen.

To make his point he raises the skull from the tomb and places it on the
crypt cover  making the skull eye to eye with him .
Then using the marble cover as a stage proceeds to have a three way
conversation between Paco the Skull and Dog.

Paco explains to the skull  in his own voice how the two rubes were outfoxed
in the hotel room .
The Skull .....then answers back speaking in the vernacular  eubonics of the
back bay

Skull
"Dog dat wuz yor Spons-sibility to eye dat hookuh in da room so dis wooden
happen  "
What wuz yo looking at son ?

Dog was crest fallen .....then incredulously began to answer the Skull
 ;
Well eyes wuz looking at .......

Skull cut him off abruptly ......I knows what  you-z wuz looking at...Mo-ron
                 .... what wuz Tiny looking at ???

Tiny pipes in  .          ".Well I wuz looking  at what she wuz doing......

Skull..        ".looking at what she was doing???  Sucker if you wuz looking
at what
                   she wuz doing you'd still have da twenty

Message from the dead ?
