Does anyone know any good resources for information on
ornamental metal work (perhaps German tradition, my
hunch tells me)? I have a residential project where the
balusters in a wood stair railing are mounted to the
stair treads by ornamental brackets in some copper alloy
(looks like brass but apparently doesn't tarnish). I
will upload a pic to PigHabit-L so you can see what it
looks like.

I have checked what I have readily available (including
the fabulous book I bought at the IPTW auction!) but
haven't yet found anything helpful.
