Ken-

Thank you for your perspective on estimating. I have found myself with a
considerable amount of free time this month due to my estimating. Needless
to say, we have lost potential work because of my reluctence to ignore gut
feeling.
I have, though, taken to heart your idea of the "slight bite". I have to
admit that I have allowed my self gracious amounts of sleep the last six
months.

If it all the same to you, I would like to coin your phrase of the "deadly
flaw". I have started to pick up the phone several times to relent on a
couple of estimates just to have the work, but I haven't gotten that hungry
yet.

>Estimating is an art...

... requiring an earnest invocation.
