The haves went to the mountains-
the have nots went crazy-

I have this reoccurring vision of the attic garrets, in several Gold Coast mansions I've worked on, to which Domestics plodded up the narrow stairs to broil in the summer & freeze in the winter, after a 16 hour day of cooking, cleaning & getting goosed by the master of
the house, 6 1/2 days a week- while suffering under the knowledge that on some level they deserved it....
