This one is for all you metals conservators out there! Apologies for the double message for those of you also on P-L.

I have a large structure clad with sandblasted aluminium panels. Mild steel spring washers have been used in the fixings, and there are rust stains on the face of the aluminium cladding panels which we wish to clean off.

I'm looking for suggestions ... and feedback on my thoughts ...

... am currently considering

use of sodium EDTA poultice
air abrasive blasting using soft blasting media

Thanks in anticipation
