This one should be right up your alley. It's about the house, about which
I have lots of questions but I'll try them one at a time. This one is
about the foundation. This house was built in 1870 by my ancestors. The
cellar walls are stone with stuff between them--not sure it that is called
mortar, cement or concrete. Anyway, on top of the stone is a few courses
of brick, probably made locally. They are laid up in the usual fashion.
The problem is that the "filling" between the bricks is all coming out or
the mice are running off with it or whatever. How do we put stuff back in
between the bricks so they don't fall out and the house fall down because
the bricks are gone? Do I get a syringe and squirt it in or what? And how
do I know what to use? Thanks for any enlightenment you can give. Ruth
