Ruth, ay-yup, I was really lucky and no one with me or in the car I hit was
hurt, and I'm pretty much recovered, all but the wounded pride and sore
feet now that I'm hoofing it. ;)

I'm going to miss that little car though; it was a family heirloom and has
stood by me through thick and thin, taken all sorts of abuse and never
failed, moved me and sheltered me and given me independence and freedom.
May it rest in peace.

As Ken said, we have just finished the Building #11 reconstruction job at
the Edison National Historic Site, and I'd definitely encourage you to come
and inspect it, when the site reopens after the next phase of renovation is
done in 2005 or so. It's a way cool place and you will really appreciate
the commonsense of Thomas Edison. If anyone is interested in following the
bigger project, you can check it out online at
http://www.nps.gov/edis/home.htm -- they filmed us, and promised to post
new stuff on the page soon. Right now it is mostly all photos of the
Glenmont work which we were not involved with, but there are a couple shots
of the granite memorial lanterns that we moved to make way for the
building. Our stuff will be labelled Building #11 when it appears on the
website.

The guys who worked this job with me did their best by this building, above
and beyond the call in many instances, made me look good, and they deserve
all the credit for our success. Lots of Pinheads involved* and let's not
overlook the (sometimes seemingly superhuman) efforts of ][<en to put the
whole thing together so that we even had the chance to do this project. We
learned a ton of stuff and met the nicest people, and given my reputation
as a precipitation bringer, it really wasn't too surprising that the
weather was the worst in many years and held us up... ;)

I'm collating submittals and as-builts and especially photos right now, and
I'll post some good pix on pighabit.
